  1. Jeongseojin

    Jeongseojin is a pier located to the west of Gwanghwamun, on the exact opposite side of Jeongdongjin Pier in Gangneung. Jeongseojin is the beginning and end of Ara Canal, and where the nationwide bike trail starts.

    Ara Tower Observatory

    “Ara” is a term from the lyrics of traditional Korean folk song “Arirang,” and an old Korean word referring to the sea. At the observatory, visitors have a bird’s-eye-view of the Ara Canal and the West Sea, Jeongseojin Plaza, Yeongjongdaegyo Bridge, and Cheongna International City.

  2. National Institute of Biological Resources

    From prokaryotes to rare species, visitors can see specimens of various forms of life on the Korean Peninsula. Exhibition Building and Educational Building offer various special exhibitions, and the institute has a natural learning activities facility.

  3. Cheongna Canal Way Park

    The park is composed of a canal that cuts across the downtown commercial district. Visitors can rent transparent kayak, canoe, and family boat to enjoy on the canal.

  4. Cheongna Lake Park

    Located at the heart of Cheongna International City, the lake park is where the TV drama “Guardians” was filmed. It has three islands, a circular trail, and bike trails.
